Romans 12:1-2

So here's what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don't become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You'll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you. Romans 12:1-2

A Photo Story

Last week, we went to my sister's old classroom to get a shelf.  The boys decided we should try to fit it in the car without taking it apart.
What do you think?  Do you think it will fit in the back of my car?
Almost! But, not quite!
A hammer and a little elbow grease later....
No problem!

  1. Yay! You managed to do it -- determination!!

It's so good to see you posting. I've been out of the loop for a while, but working with a blank slate and much simplicity. Homeschooling keeps me too busy and we've had a lot of health issues -- my husband became very ill, hospitalized and out of work for quite a while. He is recovering and we are praying for remission.

It's been a blessing to catch up with you and I hope that you will forgive my months of absence.

  2. All of a Kind Mama,

I tried to email you, but didn't manage for it to go through (not the right addy?) and couldn't access your private blog. Please email me theanetsmith@gmail.com and I'd love to reconnect. I have prayed for your husband (and whole family) and will join you in praying for remission. It was wild to hear your describe his struggles because my bff in Texas' husband is going through something very similar.

I hope to hear from you soon.
