Romans 12:1-2

So here's what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don't become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You'll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you. Romans 12:1-2

Make 5 Dinners in One Hour

***Side note to the potato salad: I made about 24 servings of potato salad for $4.50. Buying five pounds (about 15 servings) from the deli would cost approximately $10.**

When M. was very young I did some Once a Month Cooking. It was nice to have the dinners in the freezer, but was a real pain to make. Literally, after a day of cooking I hurt all over, especially my back. In Texas I went to one of those neat little dinner stations where I made up several meals and took home to either make soon or freeze. It was a luxury I did maybe three or four times - super expensive!

I found this blog, Make 5 Dinners in One Hour. You can either just enjoy the blog (there are recipes on it from time to time) or subscribe to the menus. It's $15 for three months. It comes with recipe, serve with suggestions, instructions AND shopping list. It's something you could just do once and rotate the recipes if you don't want to continue.

It's wonderful and worth the price to me not to have to think about what's for dinner or making a list. We've never had a bad dinner from it. In fact, now I am cooking much more flavorful food and I'm using all kinds of spices I didn't before. I also love that the food is "real"- nothing is complicated or expensive.

Please leave me a comment and let me know if you try out the sample menu.
