Romans 12:1-2

So here's what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don't become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You'll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you. Romans 12:1-2

324. Cool morning and almost an hour to read
325. A son sitting close by
326. Good, Godly examples
327. Growth
328. Smiles
329. Responsibility - L. watering a neighbor's garden while they are away
330. Walking - ability and someone to walk with (J. the dog this morning)
331. Hubby saying "Let's pray"

The past few weeks have been big family weeks - the boys spent time with their grandparents in Albuquerque; Aunt and I cleaned out Mom and Dad's house; Hubby, the boys and I spent time with extended family at a Great Uncle's funeral; and two of my aunts and four first cousins and their families came over on Saturday. I met 2nd and 3rd cousins for the first time and held my 3 month old cousin. M. and L. were overwhelmed by so many girl cousins!

This morning I came across this verse in Psalm 102:18 "Let this be written for a future generation, that a people not yet created may praise the Lord." In Scripture before and after this one, the Psalmist focused on God - who He is and what He has done. I pray that praises I write may encourage future generations of my family to praise the Lord!

  2. What a blessed list you have to be grateful for. Family is so important, but I never thought of being grateful for being able to walk. That sure is a huge blessing.
Thank you for opening my eyes. Have a wonderful week.
