Romans 12:1-2

So here's what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don't become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You'll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you. Romans 12:1-2

Our First Snowfall of the Year

Even with this small amount, it was just delightful as the snowflakes started falling as we were leaving church last night!  At home we all peered out the window as the snow started accumulating in the back yard.  The forecast was for only a 1/2 inch, but we all dreamed of school being canceled in spite of the prediction!  On the way to work this morning I marveled at the blanket of beauty on the ground and rooftops.  Amazing how excited I can get over a little snow!

Last February I wasn't so excited about this much snow...

We will see what the rest of winter brings!

  1. Beautiful frosting on the ground! It's more than we are getting. No snow this year so far. I am still hoping.
