Romans 12:1-2

So here's what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don't become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You'll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you. Romans 12:1-2

Counting My Blessings - Day 9

40. The park – one of the reasons we chose this house was the wonderful park nearby. I can be on the path that leads to it in a short walk – past about 6 houses, around two corners. The boys have played there, I’ve walked there with hubby, or Aunt or alone (with J), we’ve played there as a family, ridden bikes, taken visiting family there and played disc golf. What a blessing it is!

  2. Yes, that neighborhood is such a blessing. Being there this summer brought back incredible, 30-ish year old memories of sneaking through private property (your neighborhood was just a field back then) to play in the creek and hoping I didn't get leaches or get shot - they both seemed pretty serious to me, but not enough to keep me out of that creek! I'm so glad The Lord led you there and that you know the blessings of being there.

  3. I love the blessings of Parks. I am a runner so in the warm weather I hit all the parks and it is such a wonderful blessing. It is also the best place for Nature Walks with the kids.

  4. We moved to the country almost 4 years ago and while we love it, we do miss the park that was on the next block when we lived in town. :-)

    Blessings,
    Theresa
